The verse from November 25th is 1 Corinthians, chapter fifteen and verse three. Billie Satterwhite, Karen Hobson, Elaine Koozer, Lerry Zink, Diana Anderson, Alma Hardy, Scotty and Linda Martin, Terri Boling and Nancy Cheatwood all responded with the correct answer. This week’s verse is, “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.” This verse can be found in the book of P _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ of the English Standard Version of the Bible. For the almost three years that I have been submitting this column, the King James Version of the Bible has been used, but for the sake of readability, I’d like to give this newer version a chance. Good luck!

However you choose to respond, please be sure to have your answer to me by Sunday, December 8th.  My number is (812)620-3291.  If I am not available to answer, please leave a message with your name, phone number and entry. You may also leave a text at that number or email your answer to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. All those who submit correct answers will have their names entered into a monthly drawing for a gift certificate from Heaven Sent Gifts.

The winner for the month of November is Elaine Koozer. You can pick up your gift certificate at the Leader Publishing Co. Congratulations!
