Gifts for children participating in the Angel Tree program are due to the church next Sunday, Dec. 8th. Gifts should be wrapped and labeled.
Food pantry items for three area food pantries will be collected until next Sunday, Dec. 8th.
The annual church Christmas program will be Sunday, Dec. 22nd.
Prayer was requested for Don Mahan, Jean Elrod, Jean Elrod's grandson, Thelma McDonald, Harold White, Linda Phillips, Stephanie Knight, Brian Lynch, Sue Denton, Lori Sorg, Abby Smith and baby Hudson, Ralph Ikerd, Joe and Brenda Brewer, Angie Basinger, continued guidance for a friend making medical decisions, and an acquaintance in the nursing home .
Elder Eugene Denton led the communion meditation from Hebrews 9:24-28. Communion was served by Mark McCammon and Josh McDonald; Jeremy Smith and Richard Keller assisted.
Gideons representative Bill Willis was a special guest speaker. Gideons International is a "body of believers dedicated to making the Word of God available to everyone and, together with the local church, reaching souls for Christ." 2.5 billion Bibles have been distributed around the world by Gideons Int'l as of last year. Bibles are printed in over 100 languages across 200 countries. The US provides 75% of the Bibles distributed.
Jason, Amy, and Noah Slaughter of Parkville, MO; Luke, Katelyn, and Addalyn Slaughter of Gladstone, MO; and Jeremy and Kendra Lonigro of St. Peters, MO were visitors of Jeremy and Liz Smith, and Ralph and Judy Ikerd over the Thanksgiving holiday.
