INDIANAPOLIS – Air Quality Action Day (AQADs) forecasts have been extended through tomorrow (Aug. 28) in parts of Indiana. On Wednesday, Aug. 28, ozone levels are expected to remain in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range (Orange) in the following areas:
Yesterday, IDEM forecast AQADs in multiple regions. In addition to Southeast and Southwest Indiana, ozonelevels are expected to remain in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range (Orange) through today, Aug. 27, in the following regions:
A cold front working its way south toward the central part of the state is not expected to reach the Ohio River Valley on Wednesday. Therefore, conditions leading to elevated ozone levels are expected to remain in Southern Indiana through tomorrow. Hoosiers can visit SmogWatch.IN.gov to:
