Robert LaRue Maudlin
Robert LaRue Maudlin, age 85, of Orleans, passed away on October 4, 2024, at IU Health Paoli Hospital. He was born on January 17, 1939, in Salem, Indiana, to parents Alvin Robert and Mary Gayle (Walton) Maudlin.
On January 27, 1961, Robert married Shirley Jeanette Coffey, who preceded him in death on October 30, 2020. Robert graduated from Hanover College and dedicated over 42 years to educating young minds as an elementary school teacher. He was a member of both the Douglas Church of Christ and the Eastview Church of Christ both of Salem. Additionally, he was a member of Gideons International.
Robert is survived by: daughter- Tamara Crews (Duane) Corydon; son Treg Maudlin of Livonia; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Maudlin of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley, his sister Carolyn Sullivan, his brother Miles Maudlin, and his granddaughter, Stephanie Amber Maudlin.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at McAdams Mortuary, with Bro. Tim Weilbaker officiating. Burial will follow at Livonia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at McAdams Mortuary. Memorial contributions can be made to Orange County Community Foundation.
