Mitchell G Taylor
Mitchell G. “Mickey” Taylor, 72, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family. Born December 20, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles Taylor and Mayme (Brockman) Sampson.
Mickey retired from Kimball International with over 40 years of service; he honorably served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion.
Mickey is survived by his 4 children: Mike Taylor (Sherrie), Steven P. Taylor, Tina Gill and Mindy Morris (Johnny); 2 brothers: Norris Taylor and Marion Taylor; a sister, Brenda Bennett; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, at 11 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Salem Chapel, with Rodney Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the VFW Post 1693, 1919 Grant Line Road, New Albany Indiana, 47150.
